New Jersey Fishing

View the latest New Jersey Fishing report, supplied by The Sea Devil.

Some of the best and most diverse year-round fishing occurs at the New Jersey Shore. Due to the Gulf Stream, the Hudson River Flow and the Delaware River Flow, the Jersey Shore produces a wide variety of species, such as bluefish, striped bass, fluke, weakfish and more.

Anglers can surf cast from selected beaches or enjoy fishing the inlets. Many half-day, full-day and nighttime party boats operate out of marinas on the New Jersey Shore.

Marinas can be found in Cape May, Wildwood, Long Beach Island, Atlantic City, Sea Bright, Belmar, Brielle, Point Pleasant and Seaside.

Visitors may enjoy a few hours of blue fishing on the Atlantic or even an overnight big game fishing trip via party boat.

Sea Devil Fishing Boat

Sunday, November 23: The Sea Devil, having wrapped up the tuna season, sailed for stripers and blues today. The water temperature was about 49 degrees; however the sky was blue and it was a beautiful day on the water. As far as fishing goes, it was a banner day for all. We hooked into more stripers than blue fish. Many of the stripers were short and we did much catch and release today. Some highlights include: Nine year old Dante Dias, Nutley, NJ, came out fishing on the Sea Devil with his dad, Manny, for the first time. Dante landed a big striper and a giant blue fish before his dad finally caught a few fish himself. Len Smith, Park Ridge, NJ, landed the pool winning thirteen pound bass; however Harry Lysons, NY, landed a decent sized bass and a few blue fish and Dr. Jerry Block, Tenafly, caught a couple of keeper bass along with some small blues. Cindy caught a keeper bass and a couple of short stripers, along with some blue fish. A great day on the SEA DEVIL for TEAM SPERCO! Leader of the team PAUL SR, in between signing autographs from his loving fans, nailed a boat load of stripers... (PAUL is featured in this weeks "FISHER MAN " ) if you run into him, he will gladly sign his full page photo for you... Team captain DEB, was showing everyone her catch and release method, before landing a few... Paul's, son Danny, made the trip up from the DC area, to get away from all the REDSKIN fans, and catch a good deal of fish... Marty "boom boom" Barlow, took a day off from hunting to catch some nice bass today.. Marty also missed the pool with a nice striper!!! Chucky Firth used his years of sunny fishing experience, to land some nice bass... Anchor man John Daly, was with us in body, but had a bad day... after finally getting a few blues, John decided to concentrate on landing a bunch of DEB's home made cookies. We missed you Chris and Eddie Mackin; Due to the great catch and good fishing, Captain Bob has decided to run the boat again on FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY, November 28, 29 & 30, weather permitting. If you plan to sail with us, please call and let us know a day or so in advance. (Cindy 732 701-1094). Leave your name and phone # and we will count you in.
