The menu is eclectic, with something for every taste. Table settings are artfully presented with napkins creatively folded to prevent them from being carried away by an errant sea breeze. They have thought of everything. |

The salad was large enough for two to share and the flounder, fresh, flaky and fabulous.

The Sugar Shack, located just a few blocks away on Bay Avenue is Wind and Sea's 'twisted' sister restaurant and a totally different dining experience. From the lollipop-colored awning, to the hammock chairs and Red Stripe beer, you'll think that you're on Montego, rather than Sandy Hook, Bay. As you've probably guessed, the Sugar Shack is extremely casual and laid back. Peruse the Caribbean-inspired menu while listening to reggae rhythms, 'Irie, mon!' |
The food is tasty and fun, running from sandwiches and burgers to conch fritters and 'rasta pasta' They also have a nice kids' menu ($5.95, including a soft drink and an ice cream sandwich.). The wait staff is young, hip and relaxed – maybe a little too relaxed? Nah…bring the kids, kick back and say 'No problem, mon!'
